Based on advanced real-time protocol decode technologies, BPC uses network packets as the data source to help IT organizations quickly establish an ease of use business performance monitoring platform.

BPC provides five performance metrics as the core measurements that includes transaction volume, success rate, response rate, response time and return code.  All performance metrics can be analyzed based on key business dimensions, such as transaction types and channels.

BPC displays the status for all network, system and application components end-to-end, tier-by-tier, and establishes accurate and in-depth business service quality views for operation teams.

The network bypass monitoring technology using wire data not only avoids the risks of component based monitoring approaches, but also makes the data acquisition and analysis quicker.  Getting the performance metrics and alerts near real-time helps IT organizations troubleshoot quickly and efficiently.

BPC supports hundreds of business application and transaction protocols for the financial service companies, service providers and large enterprises.

Protect tens of billions of transactions daily.

SPVD drastically reduces the time of sorting out business logics and connections among application components from weeks to about half a day.

Rapid Deployment

Unlike agent based approach that requires modification of application codes, BPC leverages network bypass monitoring technology that only needs copies of wire data.  The service path diagram can be established easily by drag-and-drop in the graphic interface. Since there is no need for application modification, the deployment is agile and fast, without any impact on the production systems.

SPV Discovery: It builds network connectivity based on packets, quickly sorts out dependencies among application components and therefore business logics, tracks the topology changes, and establishes the Service Path View.

Smart Decoder: It automatically detects the types of business protocols, assists with decoder configuration, and verifies the accuracy of the transaction records.

Flexible and Easy to Use

The patented Service Path View presents the business logics, dependency and relationship, and key metrics across the different service components along the path.

Hierarchical screens and dashboards are provided for different use-case scenarios.  The ECC screen shows the overall business operation status from the top level.

Level 1 Support dashboards and Level 2 Support drilldown workflows allow support staffs to quickly identify the root cause components for an issue, and to figure out business impacts from high level down to each individual user, session or single transaction.

The statistics for key metrics and their multi-dimensional views, and the transaction tracking with multi-tier correlations help make problem solving much simpler and quicker.

Customizable reports from flexible data sources that include advanced statistical analysis, provide daily, weekly and monthly reports for operation and management purposes.

Smart Alert

Automated Root Cause Identification: Based on the logical relationships of multiple alerts across the Service Path, automatically identifies the failed component that is the root cause of an issue.

Alert Simulation: Uses historical data to simulate the production environment and verify conditions, with the “what you see is what you get” philosophy.  The threshold values can be adjusted quickly and meaningfully based on the results of “what-if” simulations.

Compound Alert: Combines multiple variables and alerts logically to form a single alert condition.

Alert Time Dependency: Allows different alert conditions for different time periods based on business operation hours.

Deep Analysis

Displays the actual Service Path based on End-to-end transaction tracking, measures latencies at each component, and shows the status for every transaction.  The transaction records provide the details to identify the root cause of an issue.

Provides Operation Support engineers the search function with filtering capabilities, including transaction type, transaction channel, server and client IP addresses, and other business fields, such as an error condition, partial credit card number and customer ID.

Applicable to Mainstream Application Architectures: SOA, active-active servers with two-way transactions, to name a few.

Open Platform

BPC data can be exported via standard RESTful API, making it easy to integrate with other commercial, open source or homegrown systems.  Since the BPC data is real-time, it meets the requirements for many business scenarios that are time sensitive.  The data can be used for centralized event management system, risk management, BI, Big Data analytics, etc.

Four types of valuable data can be provided: statistical data, baseline analytical data, transaction records and alert details.

Customizable Syslog, including alert information, can be received by and integrated to event management systems.
